Privacy Policy

We collect information needed to operate camp programs effectively:

• Camp information: camp name, contact details, seasons, schedules, tuition rates, and administrative login credentials.
• Camper & family records: names, birthdates, grades, addresses, emergency contacts, medical notes, busing/carpool details, and bunk requests submitted through camp applications.
• Staff information: contact details, roles, references, and camp assignments.
• Payment information: payment logs, balances, and transaction references. Day by Daycamp never handles, sees, or stores full credit card numbers or security (CVV) codes. Card details are encrypted and tokenized directly by a certified third-party payment processor.

We use information solely to provide, operate, and maintain camp services, including:

• Managing camper enrollments, bunk assignments, and bus routes.
• Sending camp communications (announcements, updates, and reminders) written and sent by camp administrators.
• Generating invoices, balance summaries, and office reports.

Camp directors may optionally connect their Google account to send outgoing camp emails from their own camp email address.

• Data accessed: when connected, we access your email address and basic profile to identify the sending account, and request permission (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.send) to send outgoing emails on your behalf.
• Data not accessed: we do not read your inbox, access or index incoming messages, store personal emails, or access your contacts. The only emails involved are the outgoing messages you choose to write and send.
• Limited Use disclosure: Day by Daycamp's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
• No selling or advertising: Google user data is never sold, shared with third parties, used for advertising, or used to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
• Revoking access: camps may disconnect their Google account at any time in Day by Daycamp, or by removing access in their Google Account security settings.

If a camp uses Day by Daycamp's text messaging features:

• No sharing of mobile information: no mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
• Opt-in: mobile numbers are collected from parents or staff who voluntarily provide their number on camp registration forms or staff applications, where they are told they will receive camp text messages, to receive camp-related updates.
• Opt-out (STOP): recipients can cancel text messages at any time by replying STOP. A confirmation text will be sent, and no further messages will be sent unless the recipient opts back in.
• Help (HELP): recipients can reply HELP for assistance, or email daybydaycampnj@gmail.com.
• Rates & frequency: message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies with camp activity and season. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Each camp's data is kept separate from every other camp. Connections are encrypted with HTTPS/TLS, and access is limited to the logins the camp director has approved. We do not sell or rent camp data to anyone.
